"We spent a week at the hotel and felt very comfortable throughout our stay. The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff is exceptional, even by Dubai standards. It simply doesn’t get any better. We also loved our room on the 58th floor with its fantastic view towards Ain Dubai. The generous size, the high‑quality furnishings and, of course, the location right on Marina Walk all contributed to us thoroughly enjoying our stay.
The only aspect that could use some reconsideration is the breakfast area on the 16th floor. While it is visually very appealing, it is anything but guest‑ and staff‑friendly. The walkways are far too narrow, causing congestion around the buffet. I am certainly not the first person to notice this issue, and I am convinced that solutions are already being worked on.
The fee‑based infinity pool on the 72nd floor was closed during our stay in early June. Only the (complimentary) pool on the 11th floor was open. We only learned this upon arrival. This pool is definitely worth a visit as well, but we had really been looking forward to doing our laps on the 72nd floor.
My personal conclusion: I find the Ciel to be an impressive and highly recommendable hotel, and I will book it again on my next visit. However, I will first make sure that all expected facilities are indeed in operation."
