It was a pleasant stay, the owner is a kind person and taken personal care regarding the upkeep of the premises, so no complaint.

Very clean double room

Room was exceptionally clean. Never expected it in budget hotel. Will definitely stay again when I get chance.

Basics on backpacker street

Booked via Expedia with ''special request'' that we'd check-in after reception hours. Contacted hostel directly a day prior to confirm: advised Expedia never passed on the request. They were accommodating though what's the point of having this feature in Expedia bookings? Situated on a street packed with other hostels - noise travels in from loud night-owls and inconsiderate noisy guests who bellow way before the run rises. Bring earplugs and headphones We packed lite thinking that as per images, towels and soap provided. Thankfully reception loaned them free when we enquired in the morning. No air-con in room unfortunately - only heater function. Close to shops. Okay for the super budget conscious who can sleep in the heat and ignore all and sunder.

Comfortable and close to the beach

We are a family of 3 who stayed 2 nights (2 adults and 1 child) The room set up was very simple a double bed and wooden bunks. With a single wardrobe. The beds were very comfortable but it was super hot with no aircon in the room. The kitchen facilities were well stocked and very clean and tidy. We used the BBQ on the first night and it was clean and easy to use - However, this place shows on Expedia as being a family friendly hostel with an arcade room available and air conditioning. But, there was no aircon unit and it is actually a backpackers. There is an upstiars book room with a few board games but not what I would call an arcade. I also woudnt say this is a family friendly place with the amount of late night noise and banging it was very difficult to get any sleep here which happened on both nights. Also, there is only one shared/communal bathroom which we didnt expect and posed a problem when a group of drunk 20 somethings threw up on the floor. Making it impossible to use these facilities. In the night when going to the bathroom I had to side step spew to use the toilet and hold my breathe due to the smell. I would suggest a 2nd bathrm There is a no noise policy after 10:30pm however, yelling and rowdiness continued on for some time. What is fabulous about this place is the proximity to the beach - we had a great time swimming. The best burgers ever! directly across the road the comfortable beds and the friendly and helpful staff - They were great.

Very nice

I stayed only one night in the hostel on my way to the north. But it was really great. The beach is nearby and the hostel is not too big. There were not many people staying at the same time as I did. That made it more like a holiday flat for me. Everybody was very kind, the showers and the kitchen were very clean and I liked it to stay in the common room/kitchen. It is sad that there is no free wifi. I recommend this hostel to everybody who prefers little hostels and a familiar atmosphere.

Great hostel in a street full of backpackers.

Great location in a street full of hostels! The room was very spacious and clean. The kitchen and common spaces where very clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend this hostel!
