Unclean rooms, unclean bedding, the dining area was next to a construction/junk area. There was a loud bar right next door.

I believe that this property could normally get a 4-5 stars rating in a value-based rating, but due to overbooking I got a room in a building undergoing renovation. The room itself was clean, but there was construction dust and building materials everywhere around it. Hence my experience was disappointing. The owners are very kind, and the breakfast was good. My take: you can stay here quite comfortably, but confirm beforehand that your room is the their main building.

Great stay great location, they pick you up from the slow boat and take you there the following day- this wasnt clear to us and we walked up to it, I wish they had contacted us to let us know

Respite after a long travel day
After a very long day on the Mekong River slow boat, we were thrilled to find our hotel was neat, comfortable, and welcoming. It was up the hill from all the hubbub and we got a good nights rest. Do not expect a soft bed, however.

The best stay in the city
It's the best choice for this town. You're guarantee a good night of sleep. The young men's that will serve you are the most smiley and professional. The owner speaks perfect English. Make sure to ask for a sandwich to go for your second day on the slow boat. It's also right behing Happy Bar which is the most fun bar in town but you don't hear it at night.

Recommended for a night
To be honest, BKC exceeded our expectations. Comfortable, friendly, good wifi, Central, OK breakfast. Good place to spend a night on the Mekong trip.

Staff were very helpful & breakfast was fantastic. Rooms were reslly clean. Only slight downside was a buildibg site in front of the hotel so the view of the river was obscured.

The owners and staff are so friendly, helpful and kind. Nothing seems to be too much trouble. I booked this place for two mates. One of them had his birthday so the staff made him a special treat of Blue, mango sticky rice!!

Super Preis Leistung
Pak Beng ist nicht der Ort, an dem man mehrere Tage verbringt. Meistens ist man hier auf der Durchreise. Was mich total gefreut hat waren die bequemen Betten und der perfekte Service mit Abhol- und Bring Service zum Söowboat inkl Lunchbag. Also alles was das Herz begehrt. Und das zu einem sehr günstigen Preis.

Thank you for your positive review. But one thing lots of people misunderstood is that. Pakbeng is a transit town. Information giving by people who wants to sell slow boat tickets as many as they can. so they can make more money. They sell tickets all the way to Luangprabang. Let your friends know about this, and tell them to buy ticket to Pakbeng only, then you can buy it on the boat the next day if you continue to Luangprabang. If not, you can go anywhere.

Il proprietario è un cafone assurdo, Che non offre nessun aiuto ed anzi è del tutto ostile agli stranieri. Considerato che i cuscini erano di legno, nella stanza mancava anche l’armadio, mi domando perché andarci.

If you talked about the noise from happy bar, for your I couldn't help. It's not belong to me. And most people at the Happy bar are westerners. You booked 1 day before your arrival and I gave you very good room upper floor with Mekong view. What are wondering why people come to my place, maybe you think, they are stupid and uneducated but only you right?

Good break on our river trip.
We stayed one night in the middle of our trip down the Mekong on the Nagi of the Mekong. Staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant was perched above the river and served good food. In the morning we could see the Elephants at the river.

Adequate accomodayion for 1 night stopover during cruise down Mekong. We had a room with a king size bed (3 singles pushed together) which only allowed for walkinng space on onr side of the bed. Bed andcbcpillows were comfortable. Bathroom was a good size. Small walkway outfront overlooking river. Loud music from nearby Happy Bar but we were ao tired it didnt keep us awake. Breakfast was good and we did get to watch w elephants from afar. Staff pleasant. All and all a good experuence.

Descent stay
We were only staying for one night on our 2 day slow boat trip. The hotel was clean but is in need of some updating. The bed was fairly uncomfortable. It was totally fine for one night but I’m not sure if I’d want to stay more. Breakfast was pretty good, and we got to watch the elephants across the river while eating our breakfast which was great!

Bon hôtel mais bruyant
L'hôtel en lui même est très bien, chambre correcte, accueil et service EXCEPTIONNEL ! bémol pour le Happy Bar en dessous de notre chambre, si vous voulez vous reposer, passez votre chemin.

Good place .

Super kind owner ! Room was a bit old fashioned, but in style. Bed was very good and we even got a gift from owner as we left! Really recommend !
