"It feels like Valentina has thought of everything to make this a perfect place to stay in Lucca. Valentina’s communication, kindness and knowledge of the area were amazing. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable and the communal kitchen includes a water dispenser offering still and sparkling, free coffee and snacks as well as an incredible view over the amphitheater of Lucca. Just a few steps out of the front door is Cafe Santa Zita where we had the best coffee we had in Lucca and...

"The rooms were very spacious and clean and the beds were vety comfortable. Everybody was so kind and helpful and the breakfast was delicious. My only regret was not being able to stay another night as we were traveling to Assisi the next day. The locat to Lucca was also perfect and tge drive into the walled city was less than two minutes. I can't say enough great things about our hostess and her mom. They we absolutely sweet and wonderful people. The next time, I will use La Chiuso Delle Monache...

"The staff were lovely, the property was clean and conveniently located. We stayed at the property on a Friday and Saturday and the outdoor noise was very loud at night. Based on the number of young adults on the streets, I assume this is common everywhere within the walls. Luckily, my kids were able to sleep through it. Breakfast was lovely and the staff was very accommodating for my celiac son."

"Best property, best staff, best location! I was in Lucca for 1 week and I learned the area and the hotel. Cannot rate high enough. I was stranded by taxi at 9pm in Lucca city. (Long story) Called hotel, they figured out where I was, sent a taxi for me, made late dinner reservations. Thank you Sarah. Nice bathroom, lift, air conditioning that works, big bedroom. Called taxis when I needed them, great breakfast, felt catered to. Go to their restaurant just for the lavender panna cotta. Enjoy!"

"Guiseppina, front of house, breakfast maker and server, and generally the go to person was superb. Rooms quite small but adequate. Very clean. Good breakfast ( not cooked), for €8. EXCELLENT coffee/ cappuccinos. Bit of a walk into centre of town - 10 to 15 mins. Lucca is a VERY picturesque city. Plenty to see and do. Lots of good restaurants. We booked a guided tour of city on our first full day. Started from Tourist Office. Worthwhile. Good train service to Pisa."
