"The hotel overcharged us by $40 and blamed a new system that they were implementing, After calling them, they advised that the ‘system’ was charging an additional $20 instead of crediting $20 for everyone. If they do this for everyone, they may be collecting significant additional revenue. They have reversed a $20 charge but have not reversed another $20. Bottom line, it seems up to customers to check their credit card postings but perhaps they are hoping that people won’t check."

"Two night stay. The room and bathroom was clean and compact. However, the furniture and decor was dated but functional. There were only 2 hangers in the room to hang clothes. There was lots of drawer space to make up for the lack of hangers. The writing desk area with a small coffee maker is small but functional. You get 2 coffee packs with powdered creamers and sugar for your morning coffee. The room I had seemed to be the worst of the lot. It backs out directly onto the loud A&W Drive-in order area next door. I had to keep the bathroom door closed to block out the bright light from that area. Although the room is dark with the drapes and bathroom door closed, the main window is not very soundproof. The service by the owners is very good and friendly. There are two blocks of rooms. The other block backs out onto the Fairfield hotel next door and is looks quieter and darker than the room I had in the main block. The door on my room was only secure at night by a push-and-lock door lock. The motel is a 10 minute walk from the new Ontario Northland bus terminal with plenty of restaurants and fast food outlets nearby to chose from for dining. The TV and mini-frig in the room worked nicely. Lots of channel selection with the cable tv. There is complimentary free wifi available with the room. The bed was very firm and comfortable. The A/C unit is separately controlled. Didn't need it during my stay so I can't comment on the noise level. There was plenty of parking available."

"We were happy to have a clean place to stay but due to being very early in the season there was no restaurant as indicated, it was closed! Water took a very long time to warm up. The room was ready for us as stated. Key was where it was supposed to be. No chair to sit on inside or outside."
