"This stay was in two parts, so there are two reviews.
The first week I had an oceanfront suite with a sunny balcony, 4 stars.
The second week I had a studio, shady side, no balcony, 3 stars.
The island is beautiful, the grounds are well maintained,coral covers the beach.
The pool and ocean were warm, loungers were available poolside.
The rooms were very nice but not very clean.
The food at the Zephyr was excellent the first time but
the same meal a week later was not nearly as good.
Buffet breakfast is the worst value at $35.00, lukewarm
scrambled eggs, undercooked bacon and sausage, hashbrowns,
toast, juice and ESPRESSO (not my favourite).
The best was Foxy's where they made a great burger
with fries or a huge fish and chips <$30.00.
Worst of all was the 'general store'.
They had no milk the first week and then it was $10.00 per litre.
I was also short-changed by $10.00 on one occasion,
accidental I'm sure and I should have been paying attention.
The best thing about this place is the staff !!
Everyone was polite and helpful, when my second room was too noisy,
they moved me right away to a room which was much quieter.
The Canadians were especially friendly, probably saw my maple leaf."
