"Great hotel for a beach stay!"

"The free breakfast is by far the best hotel breakfast bar none! The room was clean and the bathroom was spotless. This is the nicest hotel in the Atlantic Beach area. Tip: Shackleford Banks is great, it’s a “must see”. Radio Island is crowded and there isn’t enough parking, the water might be calm but the vibe is chaotic. The drive to Atlantic Beach is about 15 minutes and worth it."

"I want to note a few concerns about my stay. First, I was surprised that there was an additional fee for bringing a dog, which was not clearly expected. More concerning was the condition of the room: some wires from the air conditioning unit were exposed and lying on the floor, which felt unsafe and poorly maintained. "The room smell like stale cigarettes & air freshener, headboard was vinyl & was cracking, peeling off & scratched up, toilet didn’t flush & wasn’t screwed to the floor, dehumidifier didn’t work, scratches on walls & ceiling & not enough parking. Wasn’t a pleasant stay at all. Won’t be staying there again!"

"We instantly noticed their beautiful cat, Mumu, when we checked in. It was nice to feel so welcomed as not all "pet friendly" places are friendly to cats as well as dogs. Christina could not have been nicer! When she realized we had 2 cats, she switched our room to the first floor to make it easier for us to settle in. We stayed four days and got additional coffee, cups and clean towels. We had been worried that our cats would escape if someone cleaned the room while we were away but she assured...

"Hotel sits right on the ocean front. FYI - only 8 rooms actually face the ocean. Didn't bother us because you're still on the ocean. Walk down the sidewalk to end of building and there is the ocean and beach area; which is also fantastic. We were only fortunate to stay for 2 nights; but definitely enjoyed our time here. There is also a pool which faces the ocean, and has a little pool bar. No restaurant or bar on site otherwise. Options for those are within walking distance, golf cart or by car....

"The person at the front desk was bothered each time we asked for something. The floors in the room were filthy. The oven and stovetop were rusted and disgusting and could not be used. On the last day we were there, we found roaches crawling throughout the room. We have stayed at this hotel several times over the years, and it has always been clean and well-kept with friendly, helpful staff. Will probably not book another reservation here."

"The property was very nice, definitely cleaner and more comfortable than I expected for the price and area. Palm is just a couple blocks from public beach access, which is nice because parking anywhere at the beach, even most restaurants, is $5/hour. The heated salt water pool was an enormous plus, also very clean. having a balcony off of every room is unusual anymore and was used for morning coffee and people watching. Short walk anywhere and will take the kiddo next time (maybe)."
