"Hotel is ok - staff not very helpful when checking in and out - Daytona Beach itself is pretty run down."

"Room door 'stuck ' and was hard to open Balcony sliding door didn't fully close, gap from top to bottom about 1/8". Phone did not work to call desk or otherwise. Key card for room door stopped working and took too long to rectify (3 retries, none worked and THEN staff actually investigated what was happening, rather than make a new set of keys, which ended up not working. Was not happy about spending an hour going up and down to the front to deal with it. Asked for towels, needed them replaced due to a spill we cleaned up. Had to ask 3 diff times throughout the day and never received them. We ended up getting them from a cleaning lady/cart we happened to see. Very expensive room. Stayed in a condo just a block away with much better amenities, a bedroom, kitchen, and w/d at a resort with 3 pools a lazy river and waterslide, on the beach, for 4 nights for only 200 more than this 650 3 night stay."

"The hotel room was lovely, comfortable beds. Shower did not have a door and the bathroom door didn't stay closed unless you locked it, awkward for our 8 year old diabetic since we don't allow him to lock the door for safety reasons. The restaurant in the hotel served our son regular pop after specifying twice, not the servers fault but it was a big problem for us that the machine lines were crossed. I'm also not quite sure what the "exclusive VIP" part of getting a room there is because we had to pay parking, no breakfast included, qns there was a private pool but all decent hotels on Daytona beach have that.. no private setup on the beach or anything. For the price, it's middling in my opinion. Nothing special, but the room was clean, beds comfortable and the ocean view was obviously good as it's on the beach."
