"The property location is great. 1.3 mile walk to the Hotel Del and the beach. Less than that to great restaurants and some shopping. Also very short .3 mile walk to the pier to take the ferry to San Diego and also to walk, shop, dine and watch the boats in the water and see the beautiful skyline of San Diego. The rooms are outdated but adequate and comfortable. The breakfast is good and the breakfast room is clean. Staff at the hotel are terrific and very responsive. Parking is underground, ample and safe. There is an elevator for the 3 floors to access rooms. The courtyard in the center of the hotel is very nice with umbrellas and comfortable furniture to lounge. I recommend this property."

"Very well maintained property. Linda at the front desk was very helpful and friendly upon checkin. Rooms were a little smaller than normal but very clean and comfortable. Breakfast at the bistro was excellent! Would love to stay here again!"

"It’s an older property and 2 of the ice machines were broken and non of the staff knew about it?? Rooms were clean and staff was friendly. It’s in a more ghetto part of town and plenty of homeless people around. Ocean view was beautiful though"

"The Hotel is in a great location and such close proximity to the beach, restaurants and everything downtown. It is older but has been well maintained. Hotel staff were nice and helpful. We had no need for a car as we wanted to be on the island for our three day stay and everything is walking distance."
