Son Bou is the longest beach in Menorca and one of the few open seas on the island. It's one of my favourites to swim and there are several good quality restaurants on the beach with the bonus of a takeaway service :) Towards the rear of the beach is a large protected wetlands area where many species of wild birds can be seen.
