"Across the street from a great section of the beach- staff here were fantastic. Little hiccup with the reservation through expedia, but it got sorted right out with no stress. Rooms are clean, bed was suoer comfortable, and honestly of all things the shower was a family favorite! Will absolutely book here anytime we come to York again in the future!"

"Pictures on line are not accurate room was very dated and if anyone was staying above you all you hear is them walking around. No garbage pickup,had to ask for clean towels,tv had to unplug cable every time you wanted to watch, tv could have been a little bit bigger hard to see. Weeds growing up around the windows very un kept"

"They need to get regular size pillows . The shower had 3 knobs to control the water , when I turned on the shower water still poured out of the faucet also . Be careful the water was extremely hot . Sink in bathroom had no hot water . Pool was nice . The building is not level . Air conditioning was kind of loud . Definitely needs so updates ."

The location is fantastic, right across the street from the beach and just steps from the shops and restaurants at Short Sands. "I stayed here on a quick overnight after a delayed flight. The front desk person was pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and the bed and pillows were comfortable. There is a bar/restaurant where I got an appetizer. It was good.I left early in the morning, so I did not use the pool or fitness center. I appreciated the free coffee in the lobby."

"The location of this property was great, on the perimeter of downtown Portsmouth which is a wonderful little city. The staff was very friendly, polite and helpful. The breakfast was delicious, both for good selection and the taste. My biggest complaint is that it was very noisy in my room. The AC unit is the loudest I've ever heard. A few times I thought it was a nearby train when it started running. Also the people in the room above me woke me up at 1 AM doing something. I didn't hear voices...

"Great place, especially for the price. My room was clean and tidy, with plenty of the expected accouterments in the bathroom. The staff was friendly and helpful, and there was ample parking. Unfortunately, they were working on the property, so there was no breakfast as of 6/25/26. They did have a coffee and vending machine. It's proximity to plenty of restaurants was a big draw for me. I will be staying again."

"For the price it was decent for a quick passing through. Room was clean but had off putting smell about it. Pool was not maintained. There seemed to be multiple more permanent residents living at the motel that were hanging out smoking outside our door. Friendly but off putting."
