"First I understand that it an older property, which is one of the things I like about it, but it is really showing its age. Several 'repair' spots all through out our room, ceiling over the bed and down the walls. Baseboards are dirty and scuffed. Bathroom toilet was not fixed to the floor, cracked tiles (age) and the bathroom cabinet was chipped and worn across the front. The first impression I had of the room was the smell....it smelled like bug spray...friends said that was better than actually seeing the bugs, but it gave me a headache. Our friends room, was a suite and did not smell, so it was just in our room. Their room was also showing age with the same things in there room, wall repair spots ( need to paint the whole room once you repair a damaged wall), cracked tiles in the bathroom and such. BUT as I said, she is a grand lady and the location was perfect!
I will be happy to come back, will just ask for a different room now that I know the smell was just in my room."
