Stayed for one night in a one bedroom apartment and cannot fault it at all. Yes, some aspects of the rooms are slightly dated but clean and comfortable. Good mattress, good shower, good air con and fully equipped kitchen with basics provided (tea, coffee, milk). Ideally located in the centre of the harbour, on site car parking is limited but found a space no problem - failing that the municipal car park is free to use at all times. Didn’t make use of the pool area or restaurant for breakfast but has a look around, was all clean and tidy with plenty of loungers. The reception staff are fantastic. Unfortunately, didn’t catch their names but the man who checked us in was polite, efficient and showed us to the room. On check out, the lady and man were again warm, welcoming and genuinely interested in our stay. Would definitely stay again, was booked with an open mind as several negative reviews but honestly, cannot fault.

I’ve stayed in many hotels in the immediate area of Paphos and although this is the cheapest, it is excellent value for money. Dated, but the beds are so comfortable and you will not get a better shower anywhere. Would happily stay again.

I checked in pretty late and the front desk was very warm and welcoming. I think it was Mrs Elli. So sweet and kind. Someone helped me get my bags thru the long path to my room. The next morning I was able to leave luggage at the front with well attended staff, felt very safe leaving my things while I finished exploring the town. Leonidas was kind enough to give several local recommendations and ideas for my next time in town. 10/10 recommend this hotel. Everyone was fantastic!

I stayed at Basilica Resort in Paphos and had a pleasant overall experience. The hotel itself feels a bit dated, but it’s well looked after, especially in the common areas which are clean and nicely maintained. The layout is spread across several buildings, giving it a more relaxed, village like atmosphere rather than a single large structure. The main pool area is enjoyable and a good spot to unwind. One of the biggest advantages is the location there’s a large supermarket right in front of the resort, and having parking available makes everything much more convenient if you’re planning to move around. I chose this place mainly for its proximity to the port and the archaeological sites, and it worked out perfectly for that. Overall, it’s a practical and comfortable option, especially if location and convenience are your priorities.

Great hotel with super friendly staff in a great location, handy for the harbour, shops and restaurants. We were asked to move rooms after two nights and were compensated with half board for the rest of our stay. Lovely clean pool - sunbeds a bit uncomfortable and you need your own towels - but a minor issue really.
Room with a view!
The view!

We enjoyed our stay very much at Basilica. We was in a building across the road which we didn’t know about prior to arriving - we didn’t mind as it’s not far at all and rooms are still clean and have everything you need. Staff very nice and we didn’t have any complaints. Pool area lovely and enough space even though it was busy

Location, location, location is the great thing about this hotel. Restaurant/bar/ lobby,/ and pool wete very nice. The room it self was ok. Since i was out and about visiting the island, it was a place to sleep and rest between doing things. So i didnt spend alot of time in the room, it severed its purpose

Upside: good location; friendly staff. Downside: buildings probably date back to the eighties or thereabouts so looking very tired and in places quite shabby; room furnishment minimal and very dated; matter of luck whether the TV has any non-Greek language programs; WiFi signal spotty and weak; it’s a busy location so expect the accompanying din of traffic and people; guest laundry area would benefit from upgrade or deep clean. Overall, the outcome is satisfactory.

This hotel was very good, the staff were lovely but what really makes it special is the location. 4 min walk to the harbour bus station. It's opposite a supermarket and it's about 5 mins walk to the sea front shopping and dining options. Oh and it also backs onto an ancient ruin and beautiful church. The pool was fab too.

Was very bright & noisy outside at night - our maid took some money off the side which wasn’t meant for her - she came in & started cleaning before I had even departed & there were people living there closed season, one of them providing constant out of tune banjo playing & singing while we were round pool!! Other than that no complaints & the hotel receptionists were especially brilliant!!
