"The Duke of York is a proper British local pub in a building that's a good few hundred years old.
The staff and the locals are friendly and welcoming and the food is great.
Dont get upset that there's no lift to the upper level or at the absence of Aircon.

"From the start walking into reception staff were friendly, helpful and went out of their way to ensure both myself and wife had everything we needed to enjoy our stay.
The room was immaculate, tea & coffee on tap, bottled water, fresh milk in the mini fridge.
Breakfast was covered from full English, continental, fruit & yogurt, toast to mention just a few items on offer to cater for all,
Big shout out to Mike who was always at hand to apiece any of requests.

"Attended a wedding, food was amazing, staff very attentive, check in easy, it was so relaxing, what a lovely place, only one quibble i found the mattress uncomfortable so woudnt stay no more than a couple of nights, but the pillows where soft and comfy...Oh the tree
