"Good location and ideal for a short stay"

"Room was very dated, had a musty old smoke smell. The bathroom was in desperate need of renovations. Parts missing from the tap, a weird old dirty attachment randomly stuck to the wall, the bath was marked and scratched (looked very dirty so did not use). Breakfast was an absolute shambles, it was so busy and crowded with no systems in place, there was barely any food left and seemed to be only one person refilling the food station. "Had a great stay here on a Sunday night. The weather was great so we were able to sit on the terrace. There was both a wedding and a family party during our one night stay which took up a lot of the outdoor space but we did manage to find some seating. Food was good and plenty of options"

"Lovely hotel, conveniently located very close to the M5. The staff were all lovely and very welcoming. It was a very hot couple of days when we were there; the air conditioning in our room was excellent. The hotel is very well presented and well maintained. The restaurant was very good for breakfast and for dinner. The chef had clearly gone to a lot of trouble with some of the dishes we had. The spa is also excellent. "For the grandeur of the hotel, the breakfast was not the best for the money self service with tinned mushrooms and the sausages not the best, plus not very hot. And another thing is they charge for parking, a hotel situated away from any means of getting there other than by car with plenty of land you should not be charged to park at £13.50 a day when simular hotels at the same rates do not charge. It is a very nice art deco looking place with a lovely spar and pool."

"The exterior of the building is wonderful along with the grounds. The interior however is extremely run down and our first room We were given smelt damp and had to be moved to a better room but still then extremely basic and cleaning standard not great. Not helped also by the fact they only offer housekeeping every 3 days. Hotel with huge potential but not being looked after and requires urgent attention would not recommend anyone to stay there"

"Thank you to Sabrina the duty manager for responding to the issues we experienced positively and for taking ownership of them. She was a credit to the hotel, worked hard and clearly cared about the guest experience. Sabrina was also thoughtful as she knows the other issues we experienced (nothing to do with the hotel) following a recent visit to Mexico. We originally booked an accessible room. We did so purposefully because that room had a king sized bed. Unfortunately the room was tidy but was...
