"Im not sure how this was so highly rated. The ratings I saw stated this hotel was "pleasent", but my experience was not. Maybe I'm bougie, but the bass coming from the cars in the parking lot barely covered the noise of the screaming children in the adjoining room that was not mentioned also listening to loud music through a stereo system. Room was clean but given the noise in the evening and the very strange number of people walking around counting cash during the day as I was checking in, I found alternate accommodations and checked out shortly after taking a shower the same evening as checking in."
"The outside looks a little rough, but the rooms are freshly upgraded, clean and comfortable. Our front door was a bit hard to open and I had to slam my shoulder into it to get it open. We also had no coffee maker, which was a problem for my hubby, instead of me, lol. Overall, our stay was pleasant and it was worth the value, especially since there are limited hotels in the area. "
"Very dirty floors, towels were old raggy, stained. Sheets stained, furniture ,chair was old dirty. All trim coming off wall.
This is clearly a working man motel. Lots of work truck.
No phone, hair dryer in room. Ice machine??
Positive- hot water, no noisy, ac worked

"First, when I arrived and checked in got to the room to realize it wasn’t the room type I booked, def was a downgrade. So went to the front desk and the manager was on duty, she was helpful but did complain about the employee who apparently made the mistake implying this wasn’t the first or second time. I was swapped into what was available; it was something closer to what I had booked but still not what I had booked, the outside area in the rear was in disrepair and just overall poor condition but the worst of it was a nearby plant causing a terrible odor that made it hard to even walk from my vehicle to the door, something that closely resembled vomit, not the fault of the property though I suppose. Then the second day, there was confusion again as to the whole room debacle and the desk called several times to the room repeatedly to ask why I wasn’t checking out even though my reservation was for multiple days, again caused by the initial wrong room issue I’m sure. Then the tile floor in the bathroom of this second floor room was clearly in terrible shape, and I wondered if I might even fall through the floor, wish I had taken a picture to accompany this review, cause I know some people think some folks are just complainers and I do get it. But tbh I never write reviews, but this one was that bad. Don’t let the Hampton Inn name fool ya, I would avoid until they can get it together. Stayed April 20-23 2026."
"We start working at Dawn. They don’t serve breakfast until 630 am so we couldn’t enjoy their breakfast. I think they do that so they don’t have to feed as many people. Most of the people in that hotel are blue collar workers just like us …up at the crack of dawn and out of the door by six. we looked at the vehicles in the parking area. Most of them were trucks. Just like us. Working folks! And most of those guys were gone before we were at 6 AM …And when I tried to make coffee in my room, there was only decaf. I was so upset. I didn’t wanna have to get dressed to go down to the coffee bar and get caffeinated coffee. It was 530 when I got up. I don’t think I’m gonna go back to that hotel to be honest … too disappointing. My partner and I have worked Palestine for 20 years. Almost everybody that stays in this hotel works for a living … using their hands with a skill. Working manually. Five years ago, we did a huge project staying in that hotel for five weeks. We saw the same thing. People that get up really early because of the Texas heat and start working at the crack of dawn. The showers are good. You can certainly take a nice hot shower and rest well because it’s quiet. But just knowing that a whole lot of what you pay for is the breakfast and the coffee in the room, I felt very, very disappointed."
