"Rented a cabin for the long weekend. NOT what we expected based on the online pics of the cabins. Did not have the "Maine cabin" vibe at all - more like 1980s RV interior design. Vertical blinds on sliding doors were missing some sections so no real privacy. Bed was very uncomfortable. Hot water lasted about 3 mins, so showering or washing dishes was tricky - to say the least. "Property is ideally located for easy commute to downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Overall the room was clean. It is in need of updates, kitchen appliances clean but rusted. Main bedroom mattress was old spring loaded and uncomfortable. However, our daughter said the pull out sofa was comfortable. Housekeeping service not provided, even though a tip envelope was left in the room. Also, there was a constant sewage smell outside, that would blow in through when AC was running....

"The cottage was super ‘comphy’ and perfect for the two of us and had everything that we needed! The owner was fantastic and told us about all the things that we should do while there! Our pup was very welcomed and I knew he was safe if we needed to leave him for dinner. It wasn’t far from Camden/ Rockland/Rockport, which is where we spent a lot of time when not at the cottage. We will definitely suggest it to others and be staying with them again!!"

"The location of this home is very misleading. Although if you search the exact location, you will find it’s in/near the forest but looking at the pics posted you would think it was near the beach and it is not. I could overlook that if the home was stocked with everything needed and beds were comfortable but that was not the case.
