"Me and my 5 friends had a lovely time away. There were stunning views and the house was large and comfortable. Fun board games and a lovely hot tub. We all agreed that the main thing that let it down for us was cleanliness. We had to hoover and clean when we got there - there was a lot of dog hair (we didn't bring a dog). "The property is a beautiful historic home with fun trap doors and hiding places from the original owner's tea smuggling days. It has a wonderful open living and dining area with an expansive view of the town of Eyemouth. We had easy access to restaurants in town (we watched the fresh fish delivered daily), scenic hiking trails and the golf course on the hill behind the house. "Hosts were lovely and welcoming, property was well furnished and very clean. Excellent communication from hosts with directions and access to property. One thing to note, pets are charged £10 fee, unsure whether this is per night or not as only stayed one night. Advert does state pets are free but this could simply be an oversight. We would definitely stay again and happy to recommend to other travellers."
