My stay (3 nights) at Auberge was very charming. The owners and staff were so friendly. My view of the frozen St. Lawrence was spectacular, where the beautiful church across the street was also a sight to see as the sun rose each morning. Each breakfast was delicious, as were the two dinners I had. I highly recommend the Auberge Le Four A Pain. Jonathan White (Maryland, USA).

Flexibility in rules, breakfast choices (nothing for vegans. Fruit salad is not a breakfast). Booking jacuzzi allowed only 20 min, and everyone must get out at once, only there is just one bathroom, so one showers and others must be waiting while dripping. Staff is friendly, but rules are a bit too strict.

The owners were nice, and the establishment was okay. We enjoyed hanging out on the communal balcony in the evening which had a nice view. But the hot tub was not in operation, our TV did not work, the full length mirror in our room was dirty, and the shampoo which I’ve used before in other hotels, was very watered down. I am not overly picky about room decor, but it was run down for the price. I also found it odd that the small town was celebrating its 350th anniversary, and owners did not know about it when I asked them about it. It was another couple who was staying at the hotel who informed us of the community celebration down the street, which included a band. I would have thought that the owners of a hotel in a small town would be aware of a significant milestone in their community - and inform their customers of this historic event.

Quaint independent 3 story hotel

The breakfast included in the stay is basic, but cooked to order and the service is great. The outside patio was wonderful for morning breakfast in August. The bed in our room was a little tired and soft. We had a problem with a loud refrigerator running right next to the head of our bed, but they quickly rectified that situation when asked. The little town really grows on you and don't miss walking down to the wharf area. The views are amazing and the bike/walking trail through town was not crowded.

My wife and I stayed at this cozy bed and breakfast for one night and absolutely loved how cute our room was. It also helped that we went at the peak of fall foliage and witnessed miles and miles of fall colors on our way to the inn. The hosts were welcoming and even though we stayed for a short time, it was a memorable stay.
