"We really enjoyed our stay at The Modernist. The hotel is in a quiet and lovely part of Athens, though very quick and easy to visit the main attractions from here. Breakfast was fabulous and staff all friendly and helpful. Kolonaki has many great non-touristy restaurants too. Would highly recommend. "

Many coffee shops and places to relax as well as stores for shopping. Would stay here again"

"The room was spacious and fairly clean. The bed was comfortable and Manuel at reception was warm and always ready to assist. Checkout took a little longer than anticipated as there is a regulation regarding cash payment. A small shop just outside the hotel, provided any necessities required. I would definitely stay again, particularly due to its proximity to the convention center. "

"This is my second review of this place because we actually stayed here twice. We took a short trip to Milos and asked the staff to hold our bags so we didn't have to carry much. Not only were they accommodating, but they put our luggage in the new room when we returned. Can't recommend this place enough!!!"

"The police showed up suddenly in the early morning with a judiciary official to vacate and impound the building. Apparently there is a legal dispute going on between the building owner and the facility manager over unpaid rents. After we had to dress up and pack our things in 10 minutes and be ready to be left on the street, they told us "we could stay for the moment while the situation was being clarified". "I loved having an apartment Kolinaki - it’s a very safe and pretty area with nice restaurants and high end shops. Once I got in touch with the host, communication was great but I had to call first to confirm everything. The wear of the show was the rooftop porch with a view of the acropolis and being able to watch the lights coming on as the sunset set. Great little kitchen and it was nice to have a washer dryer."

"This hotel is so precious - a gem in Athens. The staff is so lovely and the rooms are very unique and spacious. Normally I book modern places - this is similar to staying in the home of a statesman. High ceilings gold frames and lots of deep rich colors. I highly recommend."
