"What a beautiful hotel, we had a fantastic stay. Exactly what you want in a lovely historic old hotel in a fantastic location in the Adelaide Hills. Beautifully restored, fireplaces galore, great welcoming bar and elegant dining room with fabulous wine room. Couldn’t fault the hotel, our room was so cosy and comfortable, gorgeous large marble bathroom and balcony (Tiers room). Good provisions provided for continental breakfast and snacks, great location, short drive up to Mount lofty lookout...

"Very comfortable bed and good shower. Good amenities close by. Room was freezing when we arrived, ancient heat pump took hours to adequately warm the room and was very noisy. Very limited info available, took until mid morning next day to find someone to give us the wifi password."

"Comfy bed with good heating in room, block out blinds, seating area and large bench. Nice to have a toaster and microwave in the room too. Aldi is located about 200m away so handy to grab last minute bits and pieces or meals to heat. Would stay again if in the area."

"Reception staff was the waitress at the adjoining restaurant. That held-up the check-in process significantly. Never saw her wash her hands, the three times she left us to serve. I hope she did. The bedroom window was broken. I'll book the Beachport Hotel next time. Not sure why the lift there was locked closed between 9pm and 9am? Meant we had to carry our suitcases downstairs for an 8.30am departure."

"Super clean room and very comfortable bed. Nice and quiet spot with the bonus of the parking area out the back. Super easy to walk to shops and restaurants. Staff were extremely friendly and polite and helpful! Price of the room was also decent for the convenience of being so close to the Main Street. Highly recommend!"

"New cabins were spotless, nice outdoor decking, great heating for a cold winters night. Loved the coffee percolator. Enjoyed a few games of table tennis in the games room too!"

"The location was fantastic. The bedroom was lovely with the garden outlook. The bathroom needed repairs. Tile and grout were worn and chipped. Staff were cheerful, helpful and were attentive to our feedback."

"This was a completely random find by us. These villas are part of a cooking school, but we were just there for the room. This was the most beautiful villa we've ever stayed at. It was beautiful, stunning architecture, beautifully furnished, it had an amazing complete designer kitchen which we didn't use, but which would be handy for longer stays, and it was not all that expensive. The nearby town had cute restaurants etc. Even though it's not quite in Adelaide, it's close enough, and well worth...

"Check in was disappointing. Was told numerous times checking was at 3pm , which I knew. Reception didnt offer to hold 1 suitcase whilst we had lunch & waited for check in. Reception told us there was no 'shuttle' from resort to park. Was requested to show reception where it mentions shuttle bus on website. I found this extremely rude & condescending. I found proof & showed reception. I didnt receive an apology. I was fortunate enough to be able check in before 3pm."
