And when we messaged the proprietors early the first morning to request a refund (the smell was that unbearable), they claimed, falsely, that they'd never heard from us. "We were able to get in the room with good written instructions. It was me, my husband, and 2 grandchildren, ages 10 and 12. No instructions on locking the door when leaving. Had to spend a lot of time locking up to leave for an outing. When we opened the door the stench of cigarettes gave me a headache and was nauseating.
