My travel companion got sick so I brought a different person and were handicapped. They put us in a room farthest from the door and elevator (3rd floor all the way to the end). When I asked about a room change, I was told first floor was available but for $40 more a night. I couldn't do that based on my expense account. They claimed they were booked but the parking lot was virtually empty. The arrangement was very hard on the handicapped person. Then our refrigerator and telephone in our room didn't work; they did fix it. Very odd smell throughout hotel. Breakfast eggs were very cold. Just not a great stay. Do they always put Expedia bookings in the worst rooms? I'm worried as I have several more bookings scheduled and don't want a similar experience.
