"The Federal Pointe Inn of Gettysburg has so much history! It was originally constructed to be a school so the ceilings are extra high. The bedroom was spacious and the bathroom was large, but could have used better lighting. The bedrooms also lacked hooks for ease of hanging outer wear as the closet was located in the far end of the room away from the door. "I've stayed in a number of B&Bs in the past. I like the homey atmosphere and delicious breakfasts they usually offer. I chose to stay at a B&B during my visit to Gettysburg expecting the same experience. I was greatly disappointed. Although I knew in advance that check in was self-service, I expected some type of welcome kit upon our arrival, making us feel at home. "Innkeepers Heidi and Dan were very welcoming and friendly. Dan met us as we arrived and walked us into the inn. Heidi got us checked in and gave us a tour of the manor and showed us our room. We stayed in the Emily Rose which was a perfect size for just two of us for one night. The room was very clean and comfortable. The entire inn was very clean and beautifully decorated. "I expected breakfast to be included"

"Breakfast was meh. Pole lamp in room kept blowing bulbs. Refrig not cold enough. Hot tub was great but could have been cleaner..hair ball! I had to ask that the room window get washed. It was better but still not super cleaned. Housekeeper spoke no English and only pointed. Walked right into my room with only a quick knock. No apologies..fortunately I was dressed. Bed was confortable. Pool and sauna nice. "
