The owners were so very warm and friendly. The inn is lovely and decorated nicely. It is very quiet, peaceful and secure. Breakfast is included which is nice. A very charming place. My daughter and I stayed one night and we are looking forward to staying here again! Thank you, Tom and Alison!!

The property was not what we were expecting. We ended up deciding to stay somewhere else. Unique place and some people might like it but it was not a good fit for us. Definitely had a “grandma’s house” feel and the bathroom in our room was very dated with the tub/shower and bathroom sink in the bedroom.

Excellent customer service

I love that this is a family run bed and breakfast. Our hosts were readily available via text at any time. The keyless entry with a code is great- no "check-in" area needed. We were pleased that they had a vegetarian option for the breakfast, too. The house is over 150 years old and that quaint charm is throughout the common areas and in our spacious room. Maybe the towels need a refresh.

The property was like driving up to grandma’s. Nice, spacious room and big bathroom with claw tub. Walkable to Main Street where downtown Placerville offered a number of shopping and dining options. Staying at the Glen Morey House B&B Inn was a pleasure.

What a neat little gem just steps away from downtown Placerville and still surrounded by nature! We even saw a whole deer family on the front lawn. Historic charm meets all the amenities you can ask for. We were in the Inverness room with our two pups and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The host was super attentive and responsive. The only thing people have to be aware of is that the bed is super soft. If you like that, this is the room for you, if not, you may want to try one of the other rooms.

Lovely, Quintessential B&B Stay

My fiance and I came for a quick overnight trip for 4th of July weekend and had a wonderful stay! Definitely regret not staying longer, but we will definitely be back. We stayed in the Sterling room- it was spacious, quiet, and boasted a collection of books to peruse, as well as a Kurig and mini fridge. For an old house, the bathroom also was fairly roomy with a jetted tub and shower. The bed was super cosy and everything was very clean. This is an older property with all the quirks and charms of an old country house which was right up our alley. Breakfast was delivered to our door and delicious! The portion was perfect and the cookies upon arrival were soft and chewy. Proximity to downtown is also a plus while being a little tucked away from the action. If you’re looking for a relaxing and charming old school B&B with exceptional hospitality, Tom and Alison’s place is it!

We had a lovely stay while visiting friends nearby. The room was clean and comfortable, the location is just a short walk from the main drag but without any of the late-night noise, and in a lovely neighborhood perfect for a morning stroll. The highlight was the breakfast here. Every day was something different and utterly delicious. Highly recommend.

The location within walking distance to main Street Placerville and restaurants is excellent. The place feels a little run down and needs some maintenance and upgrades. However, the staff was very responsive on the text and catered to all my requests (e.g., early breakfast, dog bowls, running toilet, etc).

Sorry to say, but we did NOT have a good experience. I couldn't wait to leave. I knew it would be an old house, but I was expecting charming ..it was NOT. This place, with old furniture and squeaky floors, would be good if you wanted to stay in a hunted house during Halloween. The biggest concern was how dusty it was and the amount of spiders, bugs, and spider webs. Our room, [Aberdeen] had no nightstands, the 1 lamp was on top of the mini fridge next to the bed. It was hard to close curtains as they are made of fabric. There were 6 electric light switches, and it was like a scavanger-hunt to figure out which switch turned which light. Very loud fan in the bathroom, and it turns at the same time as the light. Therefore, we could not leave the light on to find the toilet room in the middle of the night. The entire place needs to be deep-cleaned, including the dusty ceiling fan. The glass door knobs to the bathroom are completely loose. We didn't take a shower because there was a high tub to climb into. Besides, you had to follow instructions to completely surround the tub with the shower courtain because water would drip outside otherwise (too much of a hassle). Breakfast: They said a box to be delivered to our door at 9:00 a.m . we did not wait and walked into town instead. I could not sleep well because, on the ceiling, above the bed, there was a black flying bug and daddy-long-leg spiders.The sink had no water pressure. Needless to say, we will not be coming bac

My dad and his wife stayed here for Valentine’s Day weekend, they absolutely loved it. Friendly staff, delicious breakfasts every morning and their dogs were welcome. They’re counting the days until they can go back.
