"Great room and nice view and staff, but the private pool was not cleaned when we got there so we couldn’t really enjoy it; instead it got cleaned the morning we were supposed to check out. Not sure if that’s typical. Also, when we got in, there were people painting and working on the hotel exterior right outside and there’s high visibility to our private pool and room, so it was a bit uncomfortable "

From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel genuinely welcome—warm, attentive, and always ready to help without being intrusive. Check-in was smooth and efficient, setting the tone for a stress-free visit. The room itself was spotless, thoughtfully designed, and incredibly comfortable. The bed felt like it had been engineered for perfect sleep, and I appreciated the small details—plush towels, quality toiletries, and a quiet atmosphere that made it easy to unwind. Housekeeping maintained everything to a high standard throughout my stay. The amenities were equally impressive. Whether it was the well-equipped fitness center, the relaxing common areas, or the on-site dining options, everything felt polished and well cared for. Speaking of dining, the food was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and served with care. Location-wise, the hotel couldn’t have been more convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions, dining, and transportation. It struck the perfect balance between being centrally located and still offering a peaceful retreat. What stood out most, though, was the consistency. "The ONLY positive thing about this property was its phenomenal location and that is where the positives end and the negatives begin. For starters, the property did not pay their cable bill and as a result there was no TV in our room. No big deal because we can live without TV on vacation. In fairness, the manager responded quickly and tried to “fix” a “cable” problem, but we already knew what the problem was and it wasn’t a wire, it was non-payment!!! He said it would be fixed the next day and that never happened. The real issue though was that the property blew a fuse and there was NO electricity for 12 hours and the property manager was nowhere to be found. When he did respond, instead of owning up to it, the host said the entire village was without power, which was a bold-faced LIE as ALL of Oia was LIT UP! The reality is that it was only his 4 or 5 units and within 30 seconds of the maintenance crew showing up 12 hours later, the electricity was back on!!! That is not a village problem, that is a JUST BLUE problem. We can handle no TV. We can handle a fuse blowing, but we can't handle the unresponsiveness to our requests to fix it. The worst part though is that they LIED to hide the truth AND that is unacceptable. NOBODY should have to pay their hard earned money for an accommodation that has NO POWER for half a day!!!!!! WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY!!!! "

"Older property that had been well maintained. Bathroom and shower were small. There was a young wonderful man who took good care of us. We called him the ice man. He always delivered ice promptly at 1600. "

"ONE OF MY WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCES AND AFTER TRAVELLING TO OVER 40 COUNTRIES,I HAVE NEVER FELT THE NEED TO LEAVE A BAD REVIEW UNTIL NOW:I had a very disappointing experience at Anemomilos.I specifically paid for a bright white designer-style room with an indoor hot tube& distinctive design features, including a well design bed shown in the listing.However,upon arrival I was given a completely different room with darker and more basic interior lacking the design and features that influenced my choice and instead of an indoor hot tube it had an outdoor hot tub.The hotel’s response was to say that it was the same“room category,”but this does not reflect the reality of the experience.The room I received was clearly different.An indoor hot tub and an outdoor one r not equivalent,particularly in cold, windy, weather,where the outdoor facility becomes effectively unusable.As a result, a major feature I paid for could not be used at all and Idid not receive the room experience I had selected which significantly impacted my stay.When I raised the issue,I did not feel supported.I did not feel treated with the level of respect and professionalism expected.I also did not feel genuinely welcomed during my interaction with staff which added to the overall negative experience.Ispent several hrs trying to resolve the issue with Expedia,but was only met with automated responses with no outcome.the repetitive nature of these responses further added to the frustration.Overall disappointing"
