"The room and facilities were clean, my only complaint would be the area itself, out of control of the hotel. There was someone sleeping on the sidewalk in front of the hotel when we arrived and there really isn’t much to offer in the area. We only stopped for the night to catch the ferry the next day and thought that there would be more to see. "

The cord to operate the blind in BR#2 was broken so the blind wouldn't open. There were no filters for the coffee maker nor were there any paper towels even for the kitchen. The pool was filthy. "Cute idea, just poorly executed! The domo has no actual floor its just some boards with bamboo between some of the larger gaps, so the dome is filled with spiders, crickets, ants and other bugs. Booking this type of accomodation we expected some bugs but this was hundreds of bugs, and being stung and biten all night, so we got very little actual sleep. "Beautiful rooms and area. Lovely and quiet. One note to mention, the beach across the road is not the crystal blue waters as the sand is dark. It’s also a busy area for fishing so we didn’t swim. There’s some nice restaurants within walking distance and a great grocery store. "

"We had a really good stay at El Sano Banano overall. The highlight was definitely the staff — everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. A special shoutout to Miguel at the restaurant, who was our favorite server. He went above and beyond and made our experience even better.
