Fantastic value for money and located right beside the main park of the town. It's basic and a little dull inside but no problems at all. Reception is limited hours but very polite and helpful.

+ možnost parkování u hotelu, ochotná paní recepční
- zvuková izolace nic moc, takže záleží hodně na Vašem okolí, zda se dobře vyspíte. Navíc výhled z okna se omezuje na pohled do protějšího domu, takže sice nekoukáte do dvora ale velká romantika to také není.

In the Heart of the city / Au coeur de la ville
Monastic small room with a fridge and a kettle. That's it. Hotel at few metres to the central park, from where everything is easy to reach by walking.
Chambre monacale avec un réfrigérateur et une bouilloire. Point. Hôtel très bien situé à quelques mètres du parc central de la ville, d'où on peut rejoindre à pied toutes les curiosités.

Romantika v Poděbradech
Původně jsme chtěli do ****Bellevue hotelu, ale byl dočasně uzavřený, tak jsme zvolili přikehlý penzion Homer. Pokoj byl se sprchovým koutem, ocenili bychom spíše vanu, v penzionu nebylo dosud v provozu připravované welness a nikde v okolí nešlo narychlo nic sehnat, nutno domlouvat hodně dopředu. Jinak spokojenost, tichý pokoj i penzion, krásné okolí, místo pro romantický pobyt jako stvořené ;) Příště ale raději budu volit větší pokoj za tu cenu.

Cheap and cheerful
The reception doesn't open until 2pm, or a bit later the day we were there. This means you can't drop your bag off early or leave for later. Check in as pretty slow considering there werent any other guests. The construction looks like a new renovation. Everything was new looking, but Ikea level of quality ie plastic doors and chairs. WiFi was decent with some dropouts. We were only there one night. It was restful enough. The room was a bit hot, but bedding was very comfortable. Location is very convenient, a 7 minute walk to train.
