Thousands of years ago Chumash Indians once occupied this land. Boney Mountains, seen in the background, was considered a sacred place to them. Abandoned farm equipment and household items now litter the grasslands of Serrano Homestead site located in Serrano Valley in Point Mugu State Park, the westernmost park of the Santa Monica Mountains.
Great spot to camp on the beach with large size camp fires if like. Pretty secluded and on the stretch of 25 miles of consistent beach. Dogs are welcome. Thornhill campground. Also is the well known sand dune
