The whole resort was beautiful, clean and spacious. My room had a wonderful view and the bathroom and living areas were very large, had great facilities, clean and very relaxing. The spa facilities and pool area were excellent. The staff were very attentive and friendly. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

An unforgettable post-trek retreat—beautiful design, serene atmosphere, and exceptional service My husband and I stayed at Dorje’s for three nights after completing the Annapurna Circuit, and it was the best decision we made on our trip. From the moment we arrived, we felt deeply cared for—greeted at the Pokhara airport, welcomed with a refreshing drink, and allowed to check in early, which we really appreciated after days on the trail. The property is stunning, with thoughtful architecture and interior design throughout. Nearly every spot on the grounds offers a beautiful lake view, and the rooms are filled with intentional, high-quality touches. Everything felt fresh, clean, and well-maintained. We indulged in spa treatments that included access to the steam room and sauna before our massages—an incredibly relaxing experience. Since we were there at the end of May (the beginning of monsoon season), the property was especially peaceful, and we often had the pool entirely to ourselves. The staff mentioned that it gets much livelier around September and October. We also had the pleasure of meeting Dorje himself and hearing his inspiring story of building the resort after years in the restaurant business. His hospitality ethos is clear in every detail—from the delicious, fresh food at the on-site restaurant (we happily ate most meals there) to the genuinely kind, attentive staff who go above and beyond to make your stay exceptional.

We had the most fantastic stay at Dorjes, it felt like dropping into the absolute lap of luxury after being in Kathmandu. The staff were incredibly helpful (big thank-you again to whoever picked up my suitcase from the airport after the airline lost it & it arrived a day after we did!). They had some great tips for what to do in the surrounding area and were superbly responsive over Whatsapp, we were extremely well looked after. The place was immaculately clean, beautifully landscaped and designed, and the room was one of the nicest hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. We enjoyed sitting in the jacuzzi at sunset and taking in the views of the lake from our balcony. The breakfast spread was generous and the food was fairly decent for hotel food. Location-wise it's slightly outside of town (not easily walkable) but in exchange you get the mountain view down onto the lake, and it's very easy to get a short taxi there and back, we just ordered them on inDrive. It's conveniently right by the cable car station for an easy trip to Sarangkot - we loved seeing the incredible view of the whole mountain range from the top. We also paid extra to have some wonderful swedish massages, and made use of the spa. A great way to relax after a morning of hiking. Basically for us Dorjes was 10/10 and well worth the money. Thanks for having us!

Fantastic. almost close to Heaven

The owner along with his charming wife are both fully involved in the hotel. mingling with guests and enquiring about the service and comfort of each and every guest. Property gives feeling of close to nature and as far as possible offers sustainability. Entire staff gives you the comfort of home and go out of their way to satisfy your needs. The barbecue organised was amazing considering we were a group of only 7 guest. although not a part of their services to be provided even arranged our flights to be prepped so we could connect with out international flight.

Incredible service - highly recommend

We had the most amazing stay at Dorje’s. The staff went above and beyond and were incredibly helpful. The resort is beautiful and was the perfect way for us to rest and recover after climbing Everest Base Camp. We met Dorje and he was so lovely and very helpful. We would highly recommend Dorje’s and would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Staff were exceptionally helpful, particularly Indra & Bikram. They could not do enough to ensure we had a fabulous stay. Even the resort owner interacted with occupants on a daily basis. Beautiful resort overlooking the lake that provides great dinning options with much of the produce grown at the resort. Rooms are well designed using eco friendly materials & are spacious & clean. We had a fabulous stay & cannot recommend Dorjes enough.

A trip to treasure

Our stay at Dorje’s resort and spa has been wonderfully relaxing and rejuvenating. The hospitality here is incredibly warm, friendly, and generous. The rooms have a rustic, tasteful, and timeless charm. They are spacious and immaculately clean. We stayed at Dorje’s for 7 nights, thoroughly enjoying the comfort of our room and the tranquility of the resort. During our stay, we mostly ate at the resort and enjoyed the wide variety of offerings - particularly the Nepalese Thali, and buffet breakfasts. Our massages at the spa were just what we needed when we first arrived. The staff are impressively attentive, ever ready to assist, without ever being intrusive or pushy. Amazingly, they are ALL, genuinely warm and friendly. There is a feeling of being welcomed into a happy family here, of being received with open arms. We have enjoyed our conversations with Dorje (the owner) and many of the staff, and are so grateful for their hospitality and generosity. Dorje’s is a unique resort. While it is a business, there is a sense that it is also an initiative to support the local Nepalese people, by providing them with meaningful and supportive work opportunities. We learnt that there are two staff here that are unable to speak and other staff who face other challenges. At Dorje’s, their skills and abilities are nurtured. Being a very small part of supporting a place like this has made our stay unexpectedly special, and one we will always treasure. Thank you for everything.

Liked the location. Staff were nice however, on our stay, we heard drywood termites in the wall. Floor in the morning was covered with ants. On the day of checkout, met with a scorpion. All in all, a meh experience.

This resort was simply amazing! Very luxurious, so well designed, the rooms have a wonderful view of the lake, and the service was 5 star! The staff were so friendly and helpful and happily picked us up in town after we had walked down to the lakeside road to spend a day shopping and eating. We got to meet Dorje and his wonderful wife and hear their story of building their dream resort. We would give this hotel/resort the highest recommendation and we considered changing our itinerary to stay there longer.

Relaxing. Restorative. Remarkable.

My wife and I have been in Nepal for 5 weeks and were seeking a spot for luxurious relaxation and away from the crowds. We highly recommend Dorje's resort & spa. Service impeccable and friendly. Couple’s massage outstanding. Architecture, craftsmanship and attention to detail is top quality. We especially enjoyed sharing a few mornings with Dorje, the owner himself, to better understand and relate to the culture and philosophical ideals in Nepal. A peace oasis

This is one of the best resort we have been in Nepal, the rooms, the food, the service!!! We only have good things to say about this property!!! A peace oasis a short stroll away from the cable car and the lake.

The establishment upholds commendable standards, yet it is essential to consider its secluded location, the elevated prices of food available on the premises, and its geographic setting in Nepal. Bearing these aspects in mind, I contend that a justifiable rate per night would be capped at $100 USD. Should the cost exceed this threshold as it was at over 200USD , I would anticipate a comprehensive package inclusive of all amenities and services.
