Hikers find their paradise on the El Dorado National Forest trails that begin right from town. Jenkinson Lake in Sly Park Recreation Area offers fishing, kayaking, and picnic spots with pine-scented breezes.
On arriving late in the day we wondered where we'd come to as it was a bit off the beaten track. However next morning the peace and scenery won us over totally. We had a great time and would come back.

WOW, this hotel was great. I don't like having to stay in hotels cause they are usually not clean or rude people work there. But not this hotel. Everything was clean, friendly people. This hotel is definitely a good stay.
Thank you

A very nice place, clean and well maintained.
The only negative was the shared bathroom. A strange woman seemed to occupy it all the time including the middle of the night. Had to wait 20 minutes in the morning to get in there.

Really enjoyed our stay. The accommodation was well set-up, kitchen was well equipped and it was very comfortable. Other than some minor maintenance that could be dealt with it was great. Corridors could do with being made more appealing but that is a minor thing really. Common kitchen area, games areas, and BBQ areas were excellent.

Pros: Beautiful location, good access up and down the valley. Many facilities.
Cons: Large areas taken over for weddings, which dominated the outside atmosphere on the Saturday night we were there (amplified speeches and music/live band). Self-parking was a lengthy uphill walk (with steps) away from the hotel entrance.

Hands down the most friendly amazing helpful concierge team I have ever met! There were all so wonderful in different ways. And Erin always went beyond the call of duty to help out with anything. I loved Evohotel for the relaxed friendly
atmosphere. The modern relaxed simple decor, and the amazing location. So close to everything .. steps away from the lake .. made life at the lake very easy.
