Fantastic location in a forest directly by the lake. We stayed in the hotel, the basic rooms are quite small but very clean. Many food option. Highly recommended!

We loved being at Lake Tahoe for the hiking and views. The room in the hotel was very small but functional. No problem having no TV, but we sure could have used air conditioning. Very noisy with loud footfalls and talking until midnight. No hair dryer, water glasses, or even a small chair.

The resort was beautifully maintained and the room was well appointed. The only complaint we had was the room temperature. While being on the first floor with the windows open the room was too hot. The fan helped somewhat but the addition of air conditioning would be a much welcomed feature.

We enjoyed our stay immensely. Our only complaint was that is somewhat noisy early in the morning and sometimes later in the evening due to having to sleep with windows opens.

Easy check-in, parking available close to building, good sized room with ceiling fan and a box fan available in the closet, no A/C so be prepared to use the fans during the Summer months; clean room but bathroom ceiling was dirty; Great location with coffee and ice cream across the street, breakfast and lunch next door at the general store, and dinner at the beach at The Grove. Loved being close to the lake and in nature.

It was nice that coffee was right there on the same property! We stayed over 4th of July and it was super busy, but Camp Richardson was close to everything wanted to do. We rented kayaks and took a boat ride to tour the Vikingsholm castle right from the marina.

Historic property in an amazing setting. Comfortable lodging, surrounded by natural beauty, easy lake access and all the old fashioned fun you could hope for. Perfect old Tahoe escape.

Rustic old small hotel. Clean room, basic accommodations, No AC, little ventilation in #105, which made it quite warm at night. Staff seemed uninformed about some amenities like whether the Camp Shuttle was in operation (it was, because we ran into the driver at the coffee station in the lobby!). 10 AM checkout ,but no availability of storing luggage for a couple of hours. (Really?) WiFi was acceptable. Hotel location was close to General store/Dining. Food was good and plentiful. Ice Cream Parlor and Bike rental directly across street.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it was wonderful! The hot tub was very relaxing and we were steps from the beach. The staff was very helpful and upgraded our room. The room was a bit hot from no AC, but the staff gave us a fan to use. The resort is very rustic and cozy!

Rustic summer camp-style rooms. The campgrounds are great and so is the location. You are steps from the beach, next to a quaint coffee shop, general store, and ice cream shop. Beds were very comfortable. But the major negative is there is no AC and they only have very weak fans. We were in an oven each night. So recommended for non-summer months!

My experience here was really well. The staff there were great and greeted me and my wife happily, even though it was late. They made sure we had everything to get settled in. Parking was good and we like that we can just walk down to the shore from the hotel. It was a really great stay.

This is a low budget hotel - the rooms are tiny and I would not call the pillows and bedspreads clean - there is no air conditioning or tv - it is very rustic - do not stay here if you are looking for a resort - you would stay here because it is close to the beach. You would also stay here because you enjoy the Camp Richardson experience - the WiFi is great - I worked from a picnic table outside!

Being close to the beach was good except that it was terribly noisy, not only the kids but the music from the restaurant. That was horrible.. We'll never choose any of those rooms at that location again.
