"Pensione Sorriso was a great place to stay during our trip to Cinque Terre! First, it was easy to get to from the train station, a short walk and without a terrible amount of steps (although you do have to climb steps to enter the hotel and then again to your room - no elevator! ) The room was very small, which I believe is typical in these small towns, just a bed and a night table and small wall closet. "We only stayed one night but we absolutely loved it! The strong pressure shower was incredible after hiking all day. The view of the ocean was gorgeous, the staff was wonderful and so helpful, and the nearby restaurants were inviting and delicious. Would highly recommend staying here!"

"Excellent stay, Andrea goes above and beyond to welcome you. The info and PDF with links to local info, transport, places to eat etc., and directions to find him was great and really useful. Room had all you needed, fridge, kettle, comfy bed, washing line outside the window, which I didn't expect and really useful when you're interrailing for a month. Monterosso is fab, I will return and stay with Andrea again. Recommend 110%, even had a hug when we left after 3 nights. "

"The hotel was situated a three minute walk to the train station which we used quite a bit during our two day stay. The rooms were average size and clean. The staff seemed a little bit snobby. We had booked two consecutive nights and they could not accommodate us in the same room so we had to switch rooms after the first night. They did, however, move all our luggage to the new room so that was good. Overall, I would give them an eight out of 10 rating."

"Wir waren als Familie zu besuch und begeistert von der Sauberkeit, dem schönen Pool und v. a. dem gigantischen Frühstück!! Sogar der Kaffee/Cappucino wurde frisch zubereitet, keiner aus einem selfservice Automat. Die Auswahl war wahnsinnig umfangreich, so dass ich mich am Abend schon darauf freute. Was uns auch gefallen hatte, dass man abends draußen sitzen konnte und man konnte sich an der Bar etwas holen. Ein kleiner Wehmutstropfen, es liegt etway abseits und das Hotel ist etwas hellhörig....

At first, I wasn’t sure what to expect since the entrance is tucked behind a restaurant and up a short staircase, but it ended up being a great surprise. "We spent 6 weeks in Italy and this was the best hotel we stayed in. Alberto the manager was very welcoming and very helpful with local attractions. The breakfast was plentiful with lots of selection. We also got an upgraded room during our stay. The entire staff were very friendly and polite.
