"All the staff were very friendly and everywhere was clean and tidy. If you were later than 09.00 am for breakfast, the choice was not so good than if you had turned up earlier, that was our feeling. The Saturday evening meal was not totally satisfactory because there was not enough staff and we booked a table at 20.30 but did not eat until 21.45. The server did his best but was over powered with the demands of trying to keep up with the orders. Maybe the kitchen staff were understaffed as...

"The hotel is a little tired but it is spotlessly clean & the location & ease of walking to Cardiff Bay restaurants is great. In addition, what makes the hotel excellent is the staff. Jacques at check in was very helpful & Loretta at breakfast was fantastic but all staff we encountered were great. Fantastic early morning swim & delicious breakfast too. "Sited in the Beacons in its own grounds, location is just idilic. Plenty of parking with easy access and a warm, friendly welcome on entering reception you do feel like you are privileged just being there. Rooms are large, well appointed and clean. Arriving just after lunch we had a very generous and delicious bar meal and drinks to tide us over to the evening meal booked.
