Stayed at this hotel after driving 18 hours STRAIGHT from another state. We arrived on 4/13 approx 630p to check in. Our 1st interaction with the young lady at the front desk was very friendly, pleasant, and professional. We explained the reason for our travel & she granted us late check out & advised a note was in the system. Fast forward to this morning (4/14), we called the front desk to confirm the message was relayed regarding the check out. The front desk associate that answered was unfortunately not the same person, nor did she exhibit a helpful or professional demeanor. It was clear that she was not reading the notes in the system & displayed a combative, know-it-all attitude.
It took me calling a total of 3xs for her to understand the situation & what was needed. Despite the attitude given, not once was I combative or disrespectful, as I understand everyone has a job to do.However, this could have been handled better than expected.
As we were getting ready to open the door to leave the room, there was a knock at the door & said they are from the front desk. I opened the door with multiple bags & saw that this was the same associate that I had spoken with over the phone.She did see we were already on our way out with the bags at the door & told her that we were on our way down.I have stayed at high end hotels & have never experienced this.If anything, we would receive a courtesy call.But this made us feel as though we were being kicked out. Not sure I'd stay again.
