Although the front desk people were very friendly, neither Expedia or the hotel itself warned us there would be road construction right outside our room until 1 am. All the other guests had already asked to change rooms so we were simply offered earplugs which don’t help much when there is jackhammering going on. "Welcoming staff and nice location. But the property is very old and the rooms have a very upcycled, refurbished vibe. For a pricey hotel, I would have expected a bit nicer. Location is pretty, cool boardwalk with shops. But the noise from traffic, boats, and trains begins around 6 am and is impossible to sleep through. Valet only parking is also kind of cumbersome. Overall a decent stay. "

"The staff upon check in were amazing! Breakfast is your normal continental breakfast with toast/bagel and cereals, great options for yogurts and on the go options. Coffee is yum! Salted water taffy is an amazing bonus. Room was spacious and furnished with everything to cook and host. Balcony/patio was amazing to have coffee every morning or to decompress. Felt safe staging here- lots of people walking their dogs up and down the street. Only downfall, elevator was broken and walls are THIN!!!!...
