"Such a family friendly hotel. We were nervous about traveling with a three month old but the location itself was perfect. We stayed in a suite so I was able to manage nursing baby quite well on the road. The beach and pool were only steps away which was helpful!"

"Older property, maintained well. The shower never got hot. Layout of the bathroom/kitchen was weird. Toilet and shower are in one room and the sink is a kitchen sink on the counter outside the toilet/shower area. Not really good for washing faces, but otherwise workable. Good place to stay for the price."

"We had a wonderful stay. We were vey impressed with the motel. It was well maintained and very clean. I staff went out of hair way to make us feel welcome and assist us when needed. We will definitely make a return visit to Shutters on the Banks."

"Front desk was friendly and helpful. Parking was easy and accessible. Room was clean. The only thing that could have been better for us personally is the curtain situation. When it was time for bed the room didn't get very dark at all because of the lights coming through from the outside parking lot, etc.. this could easily be fixed if needed/wanted. Other than that it was a cute little place."

"Breakfast was decent. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. I was surprised there was no blow dryer. Entrance to beach was nice. Was disappointed in the pool it was very small luckily when I decided to go there was just one other person. Overall, accommodating and would stay again."

"Everything was amazing, I do think they should make the showers have a threshold on the side so the water doesn’t go all over the floor. I wasted a lot of towels just so i wasn’t stepping in puddles of water while trying to get ready in the mirror. The staff was amazing and attentive, but one person in particular should have better customer service skills and not be condescending when being asked a simple question."

"The rooms were clean and renovated. The staff was super helpful and nice. There was no coffee maker in the room, as shown in the pictures. However, they did have coffee in the lobby, which was freshly ground and available 24/7. Location convenient to restaurants and the beach."
