It was close to the center and everything was within walking distance. The staff was nice and could also speak in English if you didn't know Polish. The rooms were also clean and nicely decorated. Would choose the hotel again and recommend it to others

A No Frills Experience

My first experience when I arrived was quite unpleasant when the receptionist abruptly said I couldn't check-in until 2.00pm (45 mins). I was aware but the lady was in my opinion very rude. Finally she did take my detail but I needed to return after 14.00. I went to get lunch and returned at 14.30 only to find cleaner hadn't finished room. The room was adequate but having booked a double bed to accommodate my height, I was surprised to see just a single duvet in the middle of a double bed. In that the room costs same for single or double occupancy this was a big negative. Having travelled early in the morning I had hoped to grab some sleep in the afternoon but was greeted with the noise of pigeon which I thought was outside the window but I then found the noise was coming through a ventilation shaft. This wasn't an isolated occurence as each morning a 04.00 the loud cooing pigeon would start up and sleep was difficult. There was a small bottle of water in room upon arrival and I should have expected a daily replacement but nothing was seen for the rest of my stay. Finally, the shower attachment was broken. I mentioned it at reception who say they were aware and apologised. If they were aware prior to my arrival why hadnt been fixed or another room.offered

We were very satisfied with the Hotel Stare Miasto Old Town. The location was convenient to Stary Rynek with a walk of about 5-7 minutes. Parking was available outdoors on site. Our room was quite spacious with a sitting room and bedroom- both clean and nicely decorated. The bathe was roomy clean and modern with nice tile and a roomy shower. Overall, we were very satisfied with the Hotel Stary Miasto and would book again!

The hotel is good, clean, nicely renovated, very friendly staff and the hotel nicely respects the style of the neighborhood. Parking was a problem, Expedia misinterpreted the hotel information about parking. We were prepared to pay for the parking, but it would be nice to know that the parking really is quasi non-existent. Then we (and other guests) would / could look for parking right away from the big parking areas nearby Stary Browar.

Gutes Hotel, viel Lärm von der Straßenbahn

Gutes Hotel, Frühstück ganz normal, durchschnittlich, schlechte Backwaren sonst nur OK. Enttäuschende Lage (Lärm der Strassenbahn, man kann nicht beim offenen Fenster schlafen. ) Keine Klimaanlage im Zimmer. Sehr freundliche Bedienung.

Bring earplugs!

When I stay at a hotel the most important thing to me is my comfort of sleep. This one failed pretty hard in providing it. We were put in a room that is right next to an elevator that makes insane screeching noises on top of it's normal operating ones. It kept going up and down well into the night even though we stayed during period when there aren't lot of people traveling anymore. On top of that you can hear everything happening in the corridor through the apparently paper thin doors and also the tram noises through the windows. So I urge anyone that wants to stay here to take ear plugs, as the elevator is kind of a central fixture and close to every room. As for the good things: - The location is awesome, everything is close and the free parking is a giant advantage against other places to stay in Poznań. - The breakfast offering is small, but everything tastes great. - The free tea comes with nice cookies too : )
