"The cons:
Pool was closed, hot tub was empty and full of gunk, and almost all of the gym equipment was broken. I don't want to be mean but the breakfast was not really good at all either - I didn't try the waffles but maybe they would have been the only good thing to have. The eggs were like spongy and watery. I was kind of worried that the milk was just sitting out for hours, too. The breakfast area was also super crowded the whole time since it's all tucked in a small area. We ended up leaving and staying at the Home2 nearby for our last night - Our first night we barely slept because the hotel was so noisy and someone was slamming their door repeatedly at 6 am. Housekeepers were super loud in the hallways too very early in the morning. The walls were paper thin.
The pros:
The staff were nice and when our TV remote didn't work, they came immediately to fix it.
The park area in the courtyard was enjoyable. We sat outside for a while with all our luggage waiting until check in time at 3pm, because they charge you increasing amounts the earlier you try to check in...which is weird for people traveling on all sorts of different schedules like us.
If they didn't charge for an early check in, had the amenities available, had better breakfast and somehow soundproofed rooms, then it would have been better. Go to the Home2 down the street, it was amazing to stay there instead for our last night in TX."
