"We loved the Platzl hotel! This will be our go-to hotel in Munich. The location was wonderful - just a block from Marienplatz, Hofbrau house and walking distance from everything in Old Town. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary, and they kindly upgraded our room and even gave us an extra bottle of wine and cakes and wrote us a nice card. The amenities were great - wonderful bathroom and shower. When we needed extra water it was always available in the lobby if you asked for it,...

"The desk staff welcomed us with smiles, advice and gummy frogs. Our room was large and beautifully decorated. The garden restaurant was quiet and comfortable with a menu and chef that earned a Michelin award. The cozy bar was maned by a bartender who was clearly a Professional. Location was walking distance to Old Town, shopping and a historical German beer house. It’s called the Palace for a reason. 5 Star all the way."

"Excellent location and very clean, with a variety of room styles to fit most needs. Less than 300 yards from Marienplatz. Breakfast was great. Neat location. The only complaint I have is that I had a family issue at home and had to check out 1 day early. Staff refused to refund the day that I did not stay. Not sure if that was because it was book via Expedia. They were apologetic, but I felt it was inappropriate to charge me for a day that I did not remain. Otherwise, I can recommend this hotel."

"I stayed in the Kandinsky room which was wonderful having abstract art on the walls. The bed was comfortable, the shower had the perfect amount of pressure, and I love, love, LOVED having a Nespresso machine with a drawer loaded full of pods. The deck was a plus. I didn’t realize that front doors are a push to open, not a pull. So when I used the night entrance and couldn’t open the door after like 6 tries I went into the restaurant next door (I think that’s where you go for the breakfast which...

"This hotel was wonderful for our Munich stay. Literally steps from the Munich Ost train station it couldn't have been more convenient when arriving by train and leaving to the airport by S8. Clean, quiet, modern with friendly staff. Neighborhood has many great restaurants within walking distance. And they will sell you a public transport day pass ticket at the front desk for the tram that stops at the front door."
