"The room and staff were amazing. Only complaints are lack of storage, no pan for cooking in the kitchen, and the water ran cold rather quickly. Other than those few minor inconveniences, our stay was perfect!"

"This is my second year in a row staying at this beautiful, historic hotel. I love the area and easy walk to many local restaurants and shops. The hotel restaurant, Elsie's Daughter is so original. Like no hotel restaurant I've ever experienced. Look forward to seeing the Choo Choo again in 2027!!!"

"The Read House is a beautiful place to stay. The decor was a step back in time, and the staff from the front desk to the bar and valet were excellent. The room had plenty of space. If you have expectations about your visit, do not worry. You will not be disappointed. Bravo"
