For an international hotel chain, I would have expected a higher standard. On the plus side, the breakfast is very extensive, with many authentic local snacks and dishes for guests to try. "Stayed one night at Royal Shanaya Villa, 3 bedroom. Loved the luxurious bed and private pool. It was clean and in great condition. The grounds of the property are amazing. The shuttle was quite fun! Contra: the river could be cleaned up. There is construction next to our villa."

"Bed cover got a stain when we came, kindy curious how the room service could have missed a very obvious stain spot like that (we requested for a changed out the next day and got new/clean cover). The room was a bit dated: old caulks and shower curtain need to be replaced. But I do commend on the foods available in the front of the hotel at night! I ate mostly at the next-door malls and only tried the hotel foods on the last night, which were really good (have I known earlier, would have eaten that instead of the mall foods {weren't great at all}). Service staffs are great, super friendly. I would come back for the staff, very kind/nice ppl. "
