"Parking was ok but a bit tight between vehicles and you had to get a good spot earlier in the day or walk to you destination so you wouldn’t lose a good spot. Overall our stay was very nice, clean rooms and accommodating staff. They could use a little light breakfast like muffins and fruit in the lobby as most places in town did not open until 8 or 10 for breakfast."

Some parts of the property felt a little outdated, but that didn't really bother me. Older hotels can still be comfortable and well maintained. The bed and linens were clean, and I appreciated that. There was also a slight odor in the room. It wasn't overwhelming, but it was noticeable. It gave the impression that the room hadn't been aired out...

"Nicely located on a hill with a view of the lake, but it is not on the lake. Nice balcony for reading and relaxing. Basic continental breakfast is provided. A good restaurant is located on the nearby Golf course. No other restaurants located in the area. No beaches nearby. A pretty area and a nice stopover if traveliing by auto, but there is little to do in or around Balfour."

"When we arrived we were told our room was occupied by workersv that were working on the owners house on the property. The only room available was in the basement without a bathroom. It was cooler down there as it was hot and there is no air conditioning upstairs so we were okay with that. We had to use the bathroom and shower 2 rooms down with the worker. The sink was leaking and the shower just dribbled water. The website stated a continental breakfast would be available for a fee. The owner...
