"The hosts upgraded us from a room to an apartment—it was a complimentary upgrade which allowed us to prepare our own breakfast and dinner with food from nearby markets. They gave us wonderful advice on day trips from the property and took a genuine interest in our day trips and lives. We will stay here again if we come back to Avignon. If I knew they had a heated swimming pool and hot tub I would have brought a bathing suit."

"The staff here was quite good, but this simply isn’t a 4 star hotel. I have no idea how it has that accreditation. Our room was in the old section of the hotel. The wifi didn’t reach our room, the safe didn’t not work, the ceiling in the renovated bathroom was about 1.8m (about 6 feet) tall if you stood up in the shower, so I had to shower crouching over. The owners, Sophie and Jerome, are the most helpful and attentive a guest could wish for. Probably the best hotel I’ve stayed in on this three week trip through southern France. "We arrived and waited for half an hour before we could check in, and then, after we paid on a sketchy POS terminal, the staff walked us toward the room and then only at this time does he mention that the accommodation’s air conditioning wasn’t working. It was 35 degrees Celsius! He did offer us a refund, but apparently the sketchy POS terminal couldn’t refund us, but he did give us cash back.
