"We had a nice time at the hotel - the hotel staff were nice, the place was clean, it was close to everything, it has a patio that is nice, the bed was comfortable, the a/c worked well and kept things nice, and generally, an excellent stay.
Two things resulted in not receiving a 5-star review.
1) The cards for the rooms - if you put them near your phone, they black-out and stop working. It's a dated card-reader system and the front-desk does NOT tell you about this, so you put the card near your phone wallet and instantly, it goes bad. All they have to do is just tell you to keep the cards away from your phones... SO EASY... but they don't, and then you have to go back down, get a new key card, then go back up to your room. It's a respect issue. Just tell people at the beginning to avoid negativity.
2) The elevator was not in working order when we got there and is supposed to be fixed today, Friday. We choose this hotel because of a/c and the elevator. Now, thing happen, so... but general maintenance MAY have prevented this. Don't know. At this point, while negative, we do not hold it against them... but it sure didn't help us...
I would make sure the elevator is in working order prior to checking-in, but if so, then this is a nice little place and convenient to most everything. It's a little hill to walk to it, but good for your lungs. :)"
