"Excellent location close to beach, eatery access. Hotel decor is a bit outdated for a 4 star hotel, the room we stayed at was more like a 3 star hotel. Carpet and flooring needs regular cleaning. room is dusty. We stayed at the Makai. Hotel area is huge. If you have mobility issues it may be hard to get around by foot. They do have Tram train to get around hotel.but very slow."

"Very Disappointing Stay The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, and guests should not be placed in rooms near the construction area. The soundproofing was poor, and I was woken up early in the morning by loud construction noise and workers talking outside the room. This made it very difficult to enjoy a relaxing stay. "The room was very clean, however the property was in need of fresh paint in stairwell and outside in various areas. The staff was amazing."

"Booked ocean view room. 1st room had bugs. Moved us to a room where the air conditioning was not working. Moved us to a 3rd room with a parking lot view. Was offered to change the room the next day for an ocean view. We did not want to move again and risk it, so they waived our parking fees. Overall we were quite happy. Staff were great. Breakfast was good."
