With strict COVID-19 precautions in place, travel looks a lot different right now. These are some helpful things to know before you hop on that plane to Ibiza Island:

• Before committing to anything, check if any travel restrictions apply — in both your origin and destination. Stay informed with the latest updates by checking government and travel websites.
• Wear a face mask during airport screening. A TSA employee will ask you to temporarily lower your mask to verify your identity.
• Rather than handing a TSA employee your boarding pass, position it directly on the reader yourself. Once that's done, hold it up for inspection.
• You can now take one container of hand sanitizer up to 12 oz (350 ml) in your carry-on baggage. You'll need to remove it for screening.
• To minimize handling during the screening process, put items such as your wallet, phone and belt into your carry-on rather than into the bins.
• Transport your food items in a clear plastic bag and also put them in a screening bin. Separating food from your carry-on makes it less likely that a TSA employee will need to open your bag for inspection.
