"The first impressions of the area are not great, but the hotel building itself is modern. The beachfront at the hotel does not look great when the tide is out (with exposed seaweed), but beautiful when it comes in. The staff were all very nice. The main issues we had were related to maintenance. The handle on the shower fell off (so difficult to control the shower) and it was impossible to turn off one of the lights in the bedroom. We called housekeeping and maintenance, but no one was able to turn it off meaning we had to sleep with the light on!! Also, the pier in front of the hotel is in very bad condition. On the positive side, the restaurant is great. I had delicious spaghetti meatballs for dinner and the corned beef for breakfast was great."
