This island resort offers everything from superb watersports to an appealing mix of cultural activities.

Dive, sail and kayak in the warm, clear waters surrounding Robinson Crusoe Island. Learn to make a basket with traditional methods. See cultural shows, where locals demonstrate traditional dancing and fire-eating.

Pick your spot on the beach looping around the small 25-acre (10-hectare) island and relax in the sun. Paddle a kayak through the shallows. Grab a snorkel and explore the underwater world where an abundance of fascinating marine life awaits. The warm trade winds blowing over the vast natural lagoon created by the outer reef create fantastic conditions for sailing and kitesurfing.  Set off on one of the island’s fishing boats in search of barracuda and Spanish mackerel. Surfers have the delights of spectacular reef waves just a short boat ride away.

You’ll find plenty to do on land as well as in the water. Locals run various classes during the day with activities including basket weaving, jewellery making and traditional dance. Take a guided walk highlighting indigenous plants and explaining how they have been used for medicinal purposes throughout history. For relaxation enjoy a massage at the spa or swim a few lazy lengths at the pool before mingling with other guests at the cocktail bar.

Uncover foreign food delicacies or seek out home-style favourites at the island restaurant. Many of the meats and vegetables are sourced from nearby villages, with fresh fish caught just offshore. While you eat, watch the island’s dancers in action as they perform breathtaking stunts with swords and flaming sticks.

Robinson Crusoe Island is located just off the west coast of Fiji, a 40-minute drive and short boat ride from Nadi. Select from a range of accommodation to suit all budgets, with simple bungalows and more luxurious villas for families and bigger groups. Warm temperatures year-round make this an ideal destination at any time.

8.8/10 Excellent! (277 reviews)
"We decided to check out Likuri Island on our first trip to Fiji. We only planned on one night, and were very glad it wasn’t longer. The place isn’t the most convenient to access, requiring a jetty (not included in the cost of stay). Once you’re there, be prepared, it’s pretty rustic. It’s got basics ..."

"Well there was noise coming out from it at night , unsafe environment and then also the furniture was torn and look so old and ugly . Not even breakfast provided not the bedsheets. Towels had stains and so does bedspread . Unsafe since the security level is so poor."
