"Our stay at Shiomachi Roya in Tomonoura was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. I was impressed by the renovations done to turn this old merchant house into an inn. I liked the design and decor. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Because this particular house (Roya) has only 4 rooms to stay in, the staff are located at another sister inn literally just around the corner, one minute away. "I had a wonderful 3 nights stay at the Green Hill Hotel. The staff was very helpful and welcoming and the room absolutely spotless. I was in Onomichi for the Shimanami Kaido experience plus a day of sightseeing and I thought the hotel was perfectly located for both of those. It is also right in front of the train station, quite practical. The availability of the laundry in the hotel was really a plus.
Will definitely return to the Onomichi area and at this hotel. I highly recommend."
